Now celebrating its 15th season in the heart of the Mid-South, FedExForum is one of the premier arenas in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and in North America. It is home to the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and the University of Memphis Tigers men’s basketball team, and in the decade since FedExForum opened the arena has presented 10 NBA Playoff series, including the 2013 NBA Western Conference Finals. On March 10th, FedExForum invites you to cheer on the Memphis Grizzlies as they play Orlando Magic!
The Memphis Grizzlies compete in the NBA’s Western Conference Southwest Division. The team was originally established as the Vancouver Grizzlies, an expansion team that joined the NBA for the 1995–96 season. After the 2000–01 season concluded, the Grizzlies moved to Memphis. The Grizzlies are currently the only team in the major professional North American sports leagues based in the city of Memphis and is the only professional basketball team in the state of Tennessee.
Orlando Magic competes in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division. As of 2019, the franchise has played in the NBA playoffs for exactly half of its existence (15 playoff appearances in 30 years), and twice went to the NBA Finals, in 1995 and 2009. Orlando has been the second most successful of the four expansion teams brought into the league in 1988 and 1989 in terms of winning percentage, only after the Miami Heat.
Don’t miss this matchup at FedExForum tomorrow night! Admission prices will vary based on seating. Tickets are available for purchase online via Ticketmaster. For additional information, please visit www.fedexforum.com.
